Afraid, Lonely, or Unhappy-Connect With Nature


Ever feel grumpy or unhappy? Need a little inspiration or motivation? Get up from your chair and take a quick walk in nature. Look for signs of nature’s beauty as you walk. It will cheer you right up. A sunny day, a light breeze, a temperature perfect for sitting outside without a jacket-such days make us feel happy, at peace with the world, grateful.

Walking in the rain, making snow angels, or watching the wind whip the trees also can make us feel happy. Nature keeps us grounded in what’s real. Winter will balance summer, giving the land time to renew itself while wind sends seeds flying to give birth to new plants in other places.

We enjoy our time alone but there is something wonderful about time spent with friends and family we love that can’t be matched by our time alone. We would all be much happier if we always kept those who make us happy close to us.
